the United States will be diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) this year alone,
costing over $14 billion in T1D associated health care costs. As these
numbers continue to grow, the work of JDRF and the money we raise thought Tee
Up for a Cure is more important than ever! The goal of this tournament
is simple – to raise funds so that we may progressively
remove the impact of T1D from the lives of those living with the disease until
it is no longer a threat to them or their families.

We're the stop at nothing type
exists for the millions of children, adults, and families affected by
type 1 diabetes (T1D) every single day. Their determination to overcome
this disease strengthens ours to end it by funding life-changing T1D
an autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas loses the ability to
produce insulin — a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It
strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and
lifestyle. It requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose
testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.
